Prize money at each meeting
Stableford meetings will have 3 sections, divided equally on the day, by handicap. Normally this would work out as:-
Section 1 = 0-13 Section 2 = 14 -20 Section 3 = 21 – 28
Each section will have 5 prizes- 1st = £25, 2nd = £20, 3rd = £15, 4th = £10 and 5th = £5. (£225). £500 should be given to the host club, plus 2 prizes of £10 for nearest the pin competitions on the day. A total of £745 being spent at each meeting.

The C B Kelman Trophy Strokeplay in September, at a club by rotation.
House of Commons Cup
Matchplay between teams of 12 from each club. 4 ball better ball matches to be played both home and away. In the event of a tie, the holes won will be counted. If any match is still tied, a nominated pair will play sudden death. The final will be played over 18 holes at Inverallochy, late in August.
H.O.C. handicaps will be used, taking the following as an example
Player A 6 handicap becomes Scratch
Player B 14 handicap becomes 8
Player C 12 handicap becomes 6
Player D 24 handicap becomes 18
The Divot Cup
To be played for between Buchan Seniors and Banffshire Seniors – one year in Buchan, the next in Banffshire. Teams of 18 players (2 from each club), will play 4 ball better ball matchplay, with full handicap allowance. The same handicapping system as the H.O.C. will be used but National Handicaps will be used. This is to be played in early September.
Individual Trophy
This is won by a member whose aggregate of best 5 Stableford scores during the season is best. If there is a tie, the best last meeting score will decide the winner.
Armstrong Trophy (Team Trophy)
Played for by all member clubs. Aggregate of the 3 best Stableford scores from each member club at each of the nine meetings. Should there be a tie, then the decision is made in the same way as the Individual Trophy.
Bert Philips Trophy(now replaced by the Beaton Trophy in 2015)
To be presented to the runners up of the Armstrong Trophy.
Hole in One
Ellon member, Mr Tom Lothian, set up an account with £1000, the interest from which is used for any member having a hole in one during the season.
